The Phil Kimmi Consulting concept began when I realized that I became the “go to” sounding board for all three of my sons (and other family members) job search efforts. I was revising resumes, cover letters and follow-up interview thank you correspondence. Not to mention the phone call sessions to strategize interview responses and weigh in on wardrobe choices.
Then, as a veteran pageant judge, I started fielding inquiries from young women who were interested in my feedback from a judging perspective. This involved interview preparation and paperwork proofreading.
In early 2022, I retired from a 20+ pharmaceutical career. I had a breakthrough vision of re-discovering myself working as a consultant for job seekers AND pageant contenders. After all, I earned my Master’s degree in Guidance Counseling decades earlier. Why not?
My passion is helping people find their best self. This path started in my early career as a Guidance Counselor at the university level. After switching to a career in pharmaceuticals and corporate field training, it feels great to be back in a consulting, or ‘coaching’ role, as I prefer to call it.
I am pleased to offer customized services to individuals who need a sounding board and resource to find their best self. After a needs-assessment with the client, I find it most effective to build a game plan together, and make the process one of introspection, personal growth and FUN!
A client has the option of working with me in my hometown, the Kansas City area, or by Zoom.
My services are adaptable and can be:

- Classroom, for high school or college group presentations
- Community-based group settings
